Too bad companies don’t really do this anymore kek. Nowadays it’s just VR experiences or mobile games to tie into the movie.

I am really engaged with discourse on this topic and the idea of video game movie adaptations having potential and succeeding as a genre one day. If you thought Watchmojo’s video on this was well done and interesting like I did then please consider checking out the video series on my channel. It is about game-to-film adaptations. The introduction video covers how I think they are projected to succeed in general, the rest of the episodes will delve into how I think specific video games could be translated to film. I am currently working on the episode for Halo: Combat Evolved. If you like this comment and follow I will follow you and check out your content.

  30. Darius Villa on March 7, 2020 at 2:39 pm

Don’t forget that Tomb Raider is said to be among the best movie based video games. On the other hand, Home Alone, except for the Home Alone one Genesis port, absolutely sucked.

  31. Cross on March 7, 2020 at 2:39 pm

    Honorable Mention:
Transformers: The Game. Say what you want about Michael Bay’s Transformers, but this game. based one the first (and best) movie was surprisingly fun to play.

Do they even make these games anymore? I have never really seen any of these "movie-to-game" video games in a long time. Then again, I never play them.

  46. Velvet Fog on March 7, 2020 at 2:59 pm

I absolutely loved that Die Hard game. It didn’t seem to be very popular but I rented it multiple times and then bought it and it’s basically the only Ps1 disc I still own other the MGS1.

I hate lists where they cut of great games from a series becuase they only want to pick one. I can argue most star wars games from 2000s are better thsn the last half of the list
