15 Best PS5 Games of 2021

Compared to the banger year that was 2020, 2021 was a relatively quiet one for PlayStation- but we’re at a point where even relatively quiet years are brimming with excellent games to play across a variety of different genres.

PS5 and PS4 players had no shortage of excellent games to choose from over the last 12 months, and here, we’re going to highlight a handful of those as the ones that we enjoyed the most- before picking one of them as the ultimate winner for the year.

Props for putting Kena and Guardians on this list. Both were wonderful surprises this year and IMHO, must purchase games for PS5 owners.

BRO, I dont like any of these new games man.

I need open world games like GTA. Why isnt there any gaming developing company who is like “okay GTA is a bestseller, lets make something like GTA” but no. Never.

Its always a main charactar with a mohawk and a big sword or axe on his back who has a hipster rebel squad and the world they are in is futuristic apocalypse world with weird creatures or robots. “Lets hack everything and cruise around in weird cars with a boombox radio and coloured haircuts.” NO MAN! I want an open world game in this time! A realistic one! Come one man. A game like GTA, Max Payne 3 or Read Dead Redemption 2.

Since it will take probably 100 years before GTA 6 will come i dont understand how not one company saw it as an opportunity to compete with Rockstar.

  22. King ForADay on January 4, 2022 at 3:17 am

Although these are amazing games none of them would inspire me to buy a PS5 just to play them.

  23. Samuel Astrom on January 4, 2022 at 3:20 am

Kind of a shit list. Aside from resident evil village

  24. rahorin on January 4, 2022 at 3:21 am

Wow is that it? I feel better waiting to get a PS5 when I can for retail price instead of paying over $1,000 for the ones listed online.

  30. Spearmint 116 on January 4, 2022 at 3:31 am

Where was Hitman 3 on this list? It was easily my favorite release this year.

  31. Emad Starns on January 4, 2022 at 3:32 am

I didn’t know PS5 has 15 games exclusive yet none of the games that were for PS5 we’re running with unreal engine 5 which explains to why you can’t really tell the difference from PS4 or a PS5 game I’ve played on both versions for the extra trophies on Spider-Man miles I didn’t see a huge difference maybe starting in 2022 the real PS5 games will be here finally I can’t wait for Starfield on Xbox series x and the Matrix to release maybe when the amazing Spider-Man 2 releases it will be using unreal engine 5 instead

  32. Joel Lee on January 4, 2022 at 3:32 am

  37. Michael O'Reagan on January 4, 2022 at 3:37 am

Did a 4 year old make this list?? I don’t want to play any of these

  38. lobster7799 on January 4, 2022 at 3:38 am

Returnal made me believe in gaming once again!!! The high stakes combat sending the player all the way back to the beginning gave me one Hell of ride. This game had me only he edge of my seat from start to finish. Once I for past the 2nd boss and 3rd biome it was clear sailing from there

  39. Failing at Pessimism on January 4, 2022 at 3:40 am

All games look a bit sh1t. Don’t think PS5 is worth buying.

  40. mdweetje on January 4, 2022 at 3:40 am
