I’m in the Seattle area and have played with the Hubsan H501s and a MJX Bugs 3.
I would really like to try flying FPV and I have been watching your reviews. It nice to see the prices coming down to where some of us parents can get a toy or two for ourselves….
Thank you for the great reviews…!

Hey man I’ve been a fan of toy drones and GPS drones for a while but I’m so apprehensive to start with FPV. I really want to get that cinematic FPV stuff going. What do you recommend for a beginning. Middle of the road budget.

What a fantastic video sir. I’ve been flying fixed wing for early twenty years. I was in the market for a quality vtol so I could fly at home and not have to get to the field. I have also been afraid to delve into FPV because of choice over load but really wanted to experience it.. I’ve seen your channel before and YouTube decided I should see this. I think I have decided on your #1 choice here instead of a fixed wing VTOL. Great video content and links.

  25. Andrew DeCavia on January 1, 2022 at 2:53 am

From Georgetown, CA. Looking for different budget options for beginner RTF options for the daughter and I as we expand from RC cars. Would love to see a best RTF kits broken down by budget price, like up to $150, $150-$250 and $250+ as I’d like to get the daughter the best handling easiest to fly option for the price, but also looking to spend a little more on mine, granted I’ve flown a couple drones before, but never FPV.

  26. Bryant Saldana on January 1, 2022 at 2:53 am

Great video!!! looking for the best RTF kit to get me start on the FPV world

Bought your #1 pick. Had my eye on it based on multiple YouTube reviews. Thanks for the wrap up.

  30. MonkeySnark on January 1, 2022 at 3:01 am

Another appreciated and informative vid on drones. I liked the full review on that insect x16 pro camera drone, and it looks to be a decent piece of kit. Though one would have to laugh at how the Chinese drone makers all seem to call them "Pro" from the very cheap brushed motor toys, to the slightly/more expensive brushless toy drones. Just seems to be a tad expensive for a beginner drone with 3 batteries versus that honorable mention the JJRC x19 (which hardly has any reviews anywhere, and does it take a SD card?). Would be nice to see a comparison between the X19 and X17 as those two seem to be decent brushless motor starter kits with 3 batteries.

Those FPV "racing drones", on the other hand, are so different then the camera drones and understanding all the relevant equipment can be confusing for us beginner types, though one looks cool as an Imperial Trooper from Star Wars wearing those FPV goggles ("may the farce be with you"). I like that full Eachine IV kit, but looking over other individual drones makes it a big ass head scratching. Do you buy it with what receiver, and oh this is that S kind of battery or was it that S4 type, and what is that thingamabob to go with what watchit transmitter, and those goggles use what kind of antenna, so you do not glow from micro waves and alien transmission and still connect with your drone , phew!

Yup, it has been that kind of constant review watching and reading and so many duh moments, even after looking back on other reviews made over the year (s), as I have been seriously wanting a drone the past few months. I do appreciate finding your channel, and as I have been watching a number of your vids as well, so I can be more informed (read, umm a tad more information overload). Over all the whole drone thingamabob looks like a lot of fun and being a photographer, I do understand the, cough BS cough cough, on the so called gazzillion K cameras. Therefore it being able to take a sd card is important, and I would enjoy the actuality of using one, never mind the fun of flying one, and I do have good eye hand co-ordination.

Which means, the possibility of wining that Insta 360 would add to the whole pleasure, but not the only reason to buy a drone or comment on your video. I am so close to buying my first drone, though it would probably be on the lower end of cost for beginner, with a JJRC X17 or X19 full 3 battery versions, or, just jump in full feet into the deep with a DJI Mini 2 Fly More. Yet, I am aware that Hubsan has that coming out new Mini Pro, and the possibility of a newer DJI Mini because of it (did I mention I have been doing a lot of reading and reviews).

Yeah, more PHEW moments. Think I will just take out my digital camera, check that the SD card is formatted and put it on it’s gimbal, put the gimbal on a very very long pole, open up my camera phone app, and run around the field making quadcopter noises and take some video and pictures, and ponder my next move.

    Thanks for your review.

  31. Brian Freland on January 1, 2022 at 3:02 am

Justin, please HELP! I’m buying my first drone and I’m looking at the rtf all in one kits. I’m stuck between the geprc tinygo and the emax freestyle 2 kit. I’m leaning more towards the freestyle 2 but I’ve been hearing that the radio controller and the goggles are terrible. Would I be better off getting the tinygo whoop instead? 4k DVR capability, indoor flying, better radio and goggles, less likely to smash it on the first day. Please help me! I’ve watched reviews for13 hours straight (seriously) and om too torn to know what the best deal is. HELP ME PLEASE!!

  32. Brian Freland on January 1, 2022 at 3:02 am

  37. Pao Banaag on January 1, 2022 at 3:05 am

I enjoyed this video, i was just wondering which drone would you recommend between an mjx bugs 16 pro and a mavic mini (1st gen)?
