I have an old Sony Cybershot DSC HX50V with a Sony FDA EVIM electronic focus. I want to get a new camera but at 73 my eyesight is not that great and the electronic focus with the rubber eye adapter allows me to see just great. You have an impressive comprehension of cameras and I would appreciate you opinion.

  5. Mark Richards on March 15, 2021 at 8:40 pm

I liked the video and I’m checking into the RICOH which I wouldn’t have know about without this, but I’m confused. A 200mm lens is pretty standard equipment for a DSLR. You can even get an 800 or 1000mm lens. What am I missing? I’m looking mainly for a photo camera for taking home inspection photos so I need a long zoom. I would like a 40x zoom which I see on other cameras, so I’m just confused about the 200mm comment. Isn’t a 40x zoom greater than a 200mm lens would give? Thanks!

I am pretty sure that the dji osmo pocket does not have a 1 inch sensor, or am i just wrong?

  7. Adam Volný on March 15, 2021 at 8:42 pm

"…you can’t even get something like 24-200 on your DSLR."

    Me: Laughs in Nikon: 18-200, 18-300, 28-300

  8. J Cadag on March 15, 2021 at 8:43 pm

At 4:50 you said that the Canon G7 X Mark II and Mark III have both an aperture of f1.8 – 2.8. Does that mean that it only opens wide at f1.8 and closes at 2.8? I’m new to this camera things but i know what apertures, iso’s, shutter speeds, focal lenghts are.

  9. nathan pearl on March 15, 2021 at 8:46 pm

More depth of field is NOT more blurry background behind people, etc., that is LESS depth of field. It does mean you have more depth of field control (with the wider apertures mentioned), but more depth of field would be MORE of the picture in focus, not less. Maximum depth of field is at very small apertures such as f/22, f/32, f/45 when, if you use hyperfocal distance focusing you may have everything in the picture in focus, though it may be unsharp due to diffraction at small apertures.

Hya! Adding time stamps for each camera or text in a corner for what camera you’re using/talking about could really help people looking for info on just one model
