Actually many hackers are down to get at government agencies/sectors so long as it doesn’t have any negative immediate impact to the public

  4. Michael on May 26, 2021 at 11:37 pm

  5. Alberto Septien on May 26, 2021 at 11:40 pm

Leave Apple security the way it is. Anyone can code malicious crap for android. Just make the 30% cut fees legally reduced

  6. Kotni Krishna Chaitanya on May 26, 2021 at 11:41 pm

You made the news of apple look like something else in the title.

I find Apples security claim disingenuous, its not the amount of malware you found, its the intrusion method and severity. Lets gloss over the fact that there have been multiple real world implementations of malware traveling from iPhone to iPhone via the Wi-Fi chipset, or root remote code execution gained from sending a iMessage to someone, or the fact a user cannot have the required system access to validate any of apples claims about the amount of iPhone malware, or how much is getting past auditors on the app store. Most malware I hear of on macs I would consider "casual" malware, requiring the user to go into settings to run (Unless they are a experienced user in the terminal, in that case you should know better), and since iOS and MacOS share the same XNU kernel and many system tools, many major vulnerabilities work on both.

For the whole monopoly arguments, my unrealistic best case would be that Apple no longer sells appliances, rather general purpose computers. There is no technical reason you cannot install other operating systems on a iPhone, Mac, or even iWatch. If a user wants to be in the apple ecosystem and reply on the app store "protections" as it is, just buy the device, otherwise apple has made investments in the T2 security element, and is completely capable of unlocking a device through iOS, erasing it, disabling the ability to access certain features like find my if iOS is every re-enabled, and detecting malicious iOS installations.

Wouldn’t it be sweet to do this on a M1 iPhone?!

Apple irresponsibly demonstrated their monopolistic approach during the January 2021 handling of the parlor app. As a result, I somewhat lean towards epic taking the win here. No single organization in America should yield such great power.

Is there any Russian hackers that breach Youtube.com ? Because i started to see many Putin news whenever i wake up and open YouTube

  18. pall steward on May 27, 2021 at 12:00 am

    Epic store is shit so

  19. Gijs van der Giessen on May 27, 2021 at 12:01 am

Well I don’t see why a hacker group wouldn’t try to screw over their affiliates. I mean they’re basically screwing over everyone else already.

  20. supersoslox on May 27, 2021 at 12:02 am

Great video, keep up the great work!

  21. tdark987 on May 27, 2021 at 12:03 am

6:20 Holy fuck, has bitcoin really spiked that much in the time since that article was published? Was it written recently, or is it from mid-late last year?

I mean I really shouldn’t be that surprised at all, given the volatility these past couple years, but seeing it spelled out in black and white like this still makes an impression.

  22. Blake T on May 27, 2021 at 12:04 am

why should apple be forced to allow other companies apps on its own phone? has anything like that ever been won in court? as if taco bell has to allow the sale of a bigmac in its own stores or its a monopoly on fast food? go somewhere else.

  23. Mk Le on May 27, 2021 at 12:05 am

    Tech news! I love it

  24. damon on May 27, 2021 at 12:05 am

  27. Melanin Magdalene on May 27, 2021 at 12:11 am

Thanks for admitting that Apple. Who is next?

  28. Sasha S on May 27, 2021 at 12:15 am

MacOS is supposed to be a "capabilities" (as opposed to "permissions") based OS. A capabilities based OS is supposed to be unhackable. Something isn’t adding up right here.

  29. mer meh on May 27, 2021 at 12:16 am

I hate censorship and Apple has used their appstore to ban apps that break no rules. I hope Epic wins this lawsuit.

That mean they will be able to open a Epic Games Store on Oculus? seems kinda fricked to me.

  37. Butler RS2 on May 27, 2021 at 12:24 am

7:00 Yeah, I’m from Ireland, and from what I’ve heard from nurses at Letterkenny, then it’s no surprise the HSC was hacked. Most computers run Windows 7, so I’m not surprised they were hacked this bad, that’s on the HSC.

  38. anonymous on May 27, 2021 at 12:24 am

"fortnite maker" lol I’d imagine that a news site would have proper grammar but oh well.

  41. Alain on May 27, 2021 at 12:26 am

oh no please no third party app store. just make it possible to upload apps for everyone. then make a slider in settings where you can choose how "secure" your apps must be. something like 1. allow critical 2. allow not approved 3. allow approved only

  42. Alazar on May 27, 2021 at 12:27 am

6:16 dude you know three quarter of a million is 750,000 not 315,000.
