I wanna thank you Philip for all the wonderful loving work you do to helping stop the spread of pain and suffering in which the feline over population has currently been facing! And you seemed to do quite a bit of work to help relief some of that pain and suffering , I would just like to say from the bottom of my heart, Thank you,, and thank you for proving that you unlike so many have a kind heart, whom wouldnt just continue ignoring that which was obvious and in ur face to continue atleast not without doing your part, and I’m certain that you wish that you could so more, and that’s obviously because you a kind hearted and decent person, whom refuses to allow suffering of any kind to continue on without atleast attempting to intervene ! So I say Philip,, Bravo, Very much Good Show!!

  13. Manyway Pictures on February 20, 2021 at 10:24 pm

Hi Philip, have you used the new extremely inexpensive Meike Primes yet? If so, what is your opinion about them and where do they stand compared to other cinematic prime lenses? How are they at night outside for example?

  14. C Valdeavellano on February 20, 2021 at 10:28 pm

    And Zcam??!!

  15. Jesse Peacock on February 20, 2021 at 10:30 pm

Hey Phillip, I just wanted to reach out and wish you a happy New Year. Your filming series on the 5D and 7D were some of the first instructions I found when it came to cinematography. You were so insightful, calm and friendly that I couldn’t wait to enter the industry. My friends and I love your tutorials, your jokes, appearances by your cats and pretty much everything about you. Don’t get caught up in the comment world, it’s meaningless and isn’t a reflection of you in the slightest. You helped me have a career in news, then network TV shows and finally my own production companies. I’m really grateful for you existing, your talent, amazingly teaching style, your courage for putting yourself out there and for you as a person. Thank you.

  20. Esben Johansen on February 20, 2021 at 10:36 pm

Thank you for this very entertaining awards film. However, I hope you will give me the answer to a question I’ve asked a bunch of youtubers (including the manufacturer) without getting a single reply:

Why is it that most youtubers, if not all, seem to pick the Aputure 120d II, over the 300d?

  21. Jared Neaves on February 20, 2021 at 10:37 pm

I really need to see more of your stuff, this is just so well produced

  22. Bob Fitzgerald on February 20, 2021 at 10:39 pm

Philip. A huge thank you. Inspiration for gear for this year. I trust your opinions, and enjoy the lack of hype and abundance of cats. My cat’s name is Pixel.

  26. Sheik Yerbouti on February 20, 2021 at 10:42 pm

Such an entertaining, thoughtful, emotional, laconic, perfect video. Didn’t agree with all gear verdicts but happily put Netflix aside watching this. Subbed.

Trying to bring out my tears again from the cat doc!?

  32. JS_filming on February 20, 2021 at 10:52 pm

Go away with these "Netflix approved list"!!
Only a matter of money, not quality of the camera!

  33. Eddy Lin on February 20, 2021 at 10:52 pm

Phil you are one of the rare humble stars who came back to the booth, shock my hand and offered to help in the NAB show. I have since retired and became a philanthropist now filming a Macaw conservation video. Hope one day we will meet again. Love your video.

  34. Jamerson XTHEX on February 20, 2021 at 10:53 pm

  37. Gel Msg on February 20, 2021 at 11:01 pm

Have you heard of SmartMike+ and PicoGear PicoMic? It
will be interesting to do a comparison review on these with Rode Wireless Go. By the way, Sabinetek will be releasing something new soon. I think it is called AudioWow.

Great video! Here’s (sort of) REVIEW OF MY CAMERA GEAR:

  39. Jason Adams on February 20, 2021 at 11:02 pm

    Hey Mr. Bloom, great video!
I’m truly thankful for the content you put out, we know you’re a busy man.
I was thinking how amazing it would be if sometime in 2020 you had a little departure from your normal videos and put out a video highlighting some films/directors/cinematographers that personally inspire you. You have such an obvious passion for filmmaking it would be great to hear about who you look up to. As far as I can remember, never really heard you talk about it. Would be really neat. Your “Brighton beach converto” and “las Vegas infrared” videos were really inspiring to me.

  40. Roz Humphreys on February 20, 2021 at 11:02 pm
