Does it really matter whether you buy a £100 or £3,000 camera as most people use a photo editing software to their photos.

  7. johan Ahmed on December 28, 2021 at 2:01 am

the D850 is the best main cam in the world .

  8. Tim Kopac on December 28, 2021 at 2:02 am

I have a z5, i find it very high quality and worth my money. Plus, it’s a lot cheaper compared to the z6 II so I wonder why you never mentioned it. (nice vid doe)!!!

  9. Dennis Moore on December 28, 2021 at 2:02 am

Why do you Americans continue to be the only people in the world who mis-pronounce Nikon as ‘Neyekon’? It is continually annoying. Dennis.

The D780 is a great for hybrid work if you like DSLR ergonomics. I think its a better buy than the D850.

  13. JJ on December 28, 2021 at 2:08 am

Cameras are expensive. I dont have sponsors sending me cameras. I cant shell out $5000 every time a new camera comes out. Im happy with my current Nikon.

Personally I own the original Nikon Z6 and Z7 and if you are STRICTLY stills photographer, no matter what style of photography you shoot, both are great cameras BUT the focus tracking mode on BOTH sucks!! It doesn’t stay locked on as you track subjects and will jump from the subject you are tracking. If you do video and film work BEHIND the camera, with any of the Nikon Mirrorless line you won’t go wrong BUT if you are someone who films yourself and produces videos for YouTube where you are in front of the camera… Nikon’s cameras are NOT FOR YOU!!! If that is the case I recommend the Canon R6 or R5. Nikon also has a VERY BAD HABIT of releasing firmware updates for their newest cameras (as they did for the new Z6ii and Z7ii) and not releasing the same firmware for their older mirrorless cameras or for the D750 or D850.

Personally for myself, once things turn around with the whole world situation with the pandemic and I can get back working, I plan on dumping my Nikon cameras and lenses online and taking the money I save up and from selling my gear and switching to the R5 and R6 as they have everything I am looking for in a camera for both photo and video. My fiancee and I are planning to start a YouTube Travel channel eventually once she is able to move up here to Canada from the states and personally Nikon not offering a fully articulating touch flip out LCD like Sony and Canon offer is a deal breaker for me. Even as far as doing stills photography I find the tilt screens that Nikon keeps putting in all their cameras completely fucking useless!!! I never use it and depend on the EVF (Electronic View Finder).

So again if you are pretty much a stills photographer and want to get into the Nikon ecosystem or are already invested in their cameras and lenses and don’t expect to be in front of the camera, Nikon is perfect for you, but if you are a hybrid shooter and expect to vlog and be in front of the camera more than behind it, I recommend going with Canon or Sony as they do offer the flip out rotatable fully articulating touch LCD display with honestly MUCH SUPERIOR auto focus vs the auto focus in the Nikon camera systems. (I say this as I have even had issues with the face detect and eye auto focus on the Z6 and Z7 in low light)

Another advantage of the Nikon DSLRs over the mirrorless Z cameras is the huge number of F mount lenses available to them, including the older D series lenses.

  23. Pei Chen on December 28, 2021 at 2:19 am

Nikon are moving to mirror less for all camera and lens. Nikon z series camera is the best for you.

  24. David Castro on December 28, 2021 at 2:22 am

It is funny how DSLR comes up allot. I use both Mirrorless and DSLR and recently acquired pro camcorder. I am not a paid professional but what you been saying is intriguing. Video is of much greater interest for me than still photography. You do say enough use what makes sense and you have a conscience on how much this stuff costs. Thank you. I don’t have the budget some of these YouTube guys think we all have. And not all of us are professionals, well not yet at least. I like the 850 allot but think the Z6mk.2 would more sense for me but not totally sold on that either. The R6 is interesting provided overheating is not the issue it was before. Hence my professional camcorder. I enjoy the Canon color science and Fujifilm intrigues me with the film simulation like Eterna. Just can’t get past that retro body that does not work for me. I have big hands and the XT-4 is great but not in my hand. The Z6 II overall gets allot things right for me when the money and time are right.

Will stop the production in Japan by end of the year.

  34. Kevin Bourque on December 28, 2021 at 2:33 am

Is there any camera that can film 4:3 ratio? Like no top and bottom cropping

  35. 静流Rex on December 28, 2021 at 2:33 am

own a Nikon D850 and Nikon Z6II. This is a comfortable combination. The lens is shared. The Z6II is used for autofocus for videos and the D850 is used for taking photos. Whether the camera is a SLR or a mirrorless camera, it serves photography.

  36. Johnny Yu on December 28, 2021 at 2:34 am

For the REAL JAPANESE WORD PRONUNCIATION, the brand name of the Nikon should be "LIK KON" NOT "LAI KON", "Nikon" means Japanese Optical Production Industry Limited or NIPPON KOGAKU K.K,Pls respect the original brand name pronunciation, don’t ruin the world’s famous Japanese camera brand name’s reputation~

Big love from Assam ❤️ very helpful video brother

  40. Dennis Nelson on December 28, 2021 at 2:40 am

Great video, but I think you should have made it the top six Nikon cameras and thrown in the D500. My D500 is faster at focusing and gets more fps than my D850 and by the time I crop the D850, the D500 image quality is just as good or better than the D850 images. The D850 is a lot better when shooting landscapes.

  41. David Castro on December 28, 2021 at 2:42 am
