Machines look very good, but don’t think much of the narrative. Keeps going on about no touch-screen, they’re not tablets they’re mini notebook PCs! What we want to know is how long it takes Windows 10 to boot up on it with 4GB of memory.

The worst part is you will explain your breath away to a friend the Difference between a GPD XD, GPD WIN 2, GPD WIN, and GPD MicroPC, and they will 1000% with out fail confuse it all with the GPD XD.

I built a handheld Raspberry Pi with touchscreen and physical keyboard to fill my desire for a handheld computer, and I really like it for retro-computing stuff. GPD makes really nice little computers, but, they’re WAY too expensive. They’re literally the same price as a laptop or budget desktop, and much more expensive than using a cell phone with Bluetooth keyboard case. If they can make one that runs Linux, has a nice thumb-board, and costs less than $200, I’d buy it.

You can’t use it as a phone then what’s the point besides gaming???

  25. philip cross on March 15, 2020 at 7:25 pm

some people are bitch ass moaning about this being expensive, do some f****** research and you should be able to work out why, it`s not a raspberry pi with a 3.5 inch touchscreen running off a cheap lipo, fitted in a 3d printed case you make yourself, the people making these devices have to make money to live, if they made it $200 how much money would they have to pay their bills and buy food, i brought a gpd pocket 2 and while it was expensive at the time, i don`t regret buying it, if i didn`t have the pocket 2 i would snap one up.

  26. Trius on March 15, 2020 at 7:26 pm

This has been done before with those underpowered netbooks of the 2000s which got trashed by ipad and android tablets.
    These are going to flop.

  28. Gabriel Williams on March 15, 2020 at 7:27 pm

Hey Liliputing! I am a fan of your YouTube videos, and I like how you went over the specifics of the GPD computer for us. I like computers too, and I am good with fixing and building them and I know a little bit of programming – and I also like video games too, my favorites would have to be the Mario games like Mario bros, Warioware and Donkey Kong – but Pacman and Digdug are good games too. Their is a game console that is called the GPD, and it looks a lot like a Nintendo 3ds – my parents have been trying to get me and my siblings one of these or the GPD computer because my family loves playing video games too, but we cant find one cheap enough – and we would’nt have enough money to buy one of these with anyway. I wanted to ask if you have any old computers or video game consoles that you dont want anymore, because it would be nice to play video games together with my family again – this is something we haven’t been able to do in a very long time because are game consoles dont work anymore. It’s getting close to christmas and it would be nice to surprise my family with one of these computers or game consoles – anything will help, especialy if you leave a reply. Thank you!

Do they sell those at bestbuy?

  30. G.Y. Land on March 15, 2020 at 7:29 pm

Ridiculous such an item. One can use a tablet computer with a keyboard and it is a better choice. This is toy stuff. It’s neither a keyboard nor is it a screen. Just useless and in no time found in a second-hand shop or in a garage sale, maybe in the rubbish bin depending on the user.

  31. captaindeviant on March 15, 2020 at 7:29 pm

Just jumped in on the campaign. They have already bumped up the ram to 6gig.

  32. Omgtired on March 15, 2020 at 7:36 pm

Why even buying this? the screen is tiny and extremely uncomfortable for desktop applications. Just get yourself an ultrabook. I mean macbook air 11′ is so much superior to this in terms of usability, to be honest.

  33. Viggen on March 15, 2020 at 7:36 pm

I work in sales, this would be great if it will run VPN and allow me to remote in to our system. It would be so much better than the iPads they give us now.
