I picked up Fujifilm's smallest camera.

I LOVE this little camera. It’s only been two weeks, but I can’t stop staring at it.
*Correction XPro1 has X-trans 1. I meant XT1 has the X-trans2. But you knew that.

"Is that a camera in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"

  2. Community Roots Project on December 12, 2021 at 9:15 pm

X-Trans II was my favorite of them all. Agree with you on the look of the film simulations.

  3. Daniel Cabral on December 12, 2021 at 9:17 pm

Still have my XT1 for the same reason. Sold my X70 in the past… couldn’t regret more.

  4. Alain Broccard on December 12, 2021 at 9:18 pm

just bought one as well after watching the video and reading the comments. the focus distance scale in M mode suddenly disappeared. Anyone have a clue why? any way around to set focus distance for zone focus under those circumstances? TY

  5. Maximilian Hinz on December 12, 2021 at 9:22 pm

I’m totally feeling this … I was going through my old Fuji files recently (x100 + x pro 1 etc.) and felt like I need a first/second generation x-series camera again. They have that certain look that the new cameras don’t have. Don’t know if its the pixel density … but yeah. Totally feeling this.

    What about the XF10 though?

  6. Val Stephens on December 12, 2021 at 9:23 pm

I have an X100S and there IS something special about the image quality that the sensor produces…in some cases better than my XT3.

  7. Film Camera Reviews on December 12, 2021 at 9:24 pm

Love the X trans-ii sensor. Still shooting with the XT-1 in 2021.
Another small camer Fuji option is the XE-1 and one of the pancake lenses.

  8. Team Hazardous on December 12, 2021 at 9:25 pm

How would you compare it with the Sony RX and Canon G7 lines? I think the sensor size vs zoom range is the biggest difference.

  9. John Grubb on December 12, 2021 at 9:27 pm

I just got an X30 and I’m having a great time with it.

  10. Tom Weis on December 12, 2021 at 9:28 pm

    Nikon Coolpix A

  11. Rob Walters on December 12, 2021 at 9:28 pm

Well…… I keep coming back to your videos on the x70 and xe2 videos. I started with a Nikon D50 and still really love the colors and look I get from it. Been shooting the XE3 for almost a year now and finally getting some good colors and look I’m going for. But, still doesn’t match the D50. I wonder if the x70 or xe2 would get me closer. Thanks, love you work!

  12. Barry Mayes on December 12, 2021 at 9:29 pm

At last! A Fuji reviewer who knows about the qualities of the X70. Bravo. Look forward to your review using wide angle wcl giving equivalent of 21mm….

  13. Bo Kristensen on December 12, 2021 at 9:32 pm

In the xpro 1 it’s the xtrans 1….not the same sensor as in the x70…..or am I wrong?

  14. Keith Tomlinson - Continuous Focus on December 12, 2021 at 9:34 pm

I loved mine, I always regret selling it

  15. Re Rod on December 12, 2021 at 9:36 pm

If you get your hands on a Ricoh GR2, I’d be interested in a comparison with the X70. I love the look of the GR2 photos. Gets quite close to the X Trans 2 IMO.

  16. Mark Dell on December 12, 2021 at 9:37 pm

I loved the files from my Xpro 1 oh how I loved the BW! I had the X70 and loved it Also leaf shutter for OCF! More X70 More X70!

  17. ManyDoors777 on December 12, 2021 at 9:37 pm

The XF10 is actually a bit smaller

  19. JohnnyRockyHorror on December 12, 2021 at 9:45 pm

Would you recommend the x70 as a dedicated camera for shooting noir photography?

  20. matthieu zglurg on December 12, 2021 at 9:47 pm

the XPro 1 has the X Trans 1, not 2 though. They’re very similar

  21. Alan Clarke on December 12, 2021 at 9:48 pm

X70 was my first fujifilm, still use it a lot as goes in jacket pocket. Bought an X-E3 but then got a used X-M1 for no worries carrying around. Love something about the M1 images, you have to give this a go now – smaller than X20. After looking back at X-M1 images I just bought an X-E1 as this has same X-Trans 1 sensor.

  22. Kenneth Lee on December 12, 2021 at 9:50 pm

Xf10 with an xtrans sensor and ibis and competitive price would give the griii or iv a run for thr money.

  23. Michael Torres on December 12, 2021 at 9:54 pm

Hi Omar, did you ever consider the XE2?

  24. Quentin Authelet on December 12, 2021 at 9:55 pm

Agree, perfect everyday pocket camera. I never leave home without it.
I like shooting using my own eterna bleach bypass recipe/film simulation. Keen to share it if anyone is interested!

  25. M'hamed EL OUALIDI on December 12, 2021 at 9:55 pm

The link in the description takes me to a Sony camera

  26. Movechew on December 12, 2021 at 9:56 pm

almost considered this. got a x-e3 for cheap! lets go fuji.

  27. Grey Ghost on December 12, 2021 at 9:56 pm

I want that little camera with a full frame sensor and 80MP, interchangeable lenses…. and a 1400 frame battery life…. for $800….lol

I upraded to a Pentax K1000 for $40 and am using Ektar 100

  28. OttoNL on December 12, 2021 at 9:58 pm

The xf10 is still a little tinier right? But yeah the x70 looks amazing. Tempted to get an x-e2 now for the X trans II sensor. If only it had a flippy screen….

  29. Grey Ghost on December 12, 2021 at 9:58 pm

I STILL have my X-E1….. $150 of not enough megapixels

  30. frank artale on December 12, 2021 at 9:59 pm

U have just described the xf10. 24mp Unreliable a/f and all

  31. Lindsey LaVida on December 12, 2021 at 10:06 pm

So is it bad for video? I’m looking for a small vlogging camera, maybe Sony rx100, but I wish Fuji had something similar. Been eyeing the xe4 and XS10, but not sure about those. Anyway great channel!

  32. Fung sir on December 12, 2021 at 10:06 pm

Where can I buy this old camera now? Thanks!

  33. Matt Bergh on December 12, 2021 at 10:07 pm

My xe1 is my favorite. That sensor has that less than perfect look I love. Super slow autofocus but who cares. Original film photography was all manual and methodical anyway. Just take some photos!

  34. pgulysse1 on December 12, 2021 at 10:07 pm

Hope Fuji will bring back this X100V little brother in two focal length, 28mm and/or 40mm …
It’s compact as the XF10, Ricoh GRIII, but the tilting screen is a major bonus… add a popup evf.

  35. Supersonic Hamster USA America on December 12, 2021 at 10:09 pm

XPRO1 and XE1 both have the 1st Gen XTRANS and x processor. Everything else is 2nd Gen.

  36. John Brubaker on December 12, 2021 at 10:09 pm

I think they’re probably waiting to release the x80 when they can cram IBIS into it for vlogging. The x70 didn’t sell well enough to not get cancelled because there wasn’t enough market for it. But adding the vlogging angle makes it viable again. I hope they also add a pop-up viewfinder.

  37. Agustin Orozco on December 12, 2021 at 10:10 pm

I love mi x-e2…. small, reliable, nice image quality….

  38. Alexаnder on December 12, 2021 at 10:12 pm

What are the strap you have on this camera? It looks so small and light

  39. Macintosh Works on December 12, 2021 at 10:13 pm

I missed my X-T1 that I sold it a couple of years back. With the X-Tran 2 sensor, I was getting more “organic” Fujifilm look that I really loved. However I can’t seem to quite get that look with my X-T4. Today I ended up picking up a X-T1 Graphite Silver! It was brand new and I got awesome deal on it too!

  40. CherylRan22 on December 12, 2021 at 10:13 pm

I want a tiny pocket camera BUT want a view finder!!

  41. Alberto Pérez Puyal on December 12, 2021 at 10:13 pm

I don’t own a X70 but a X100S. Many times I’ve thought the one I needed was a bit camera with interchangeable lenses and all that stuff. But reviewing my pictures I’ve realised many times that my best pictures comes from X100S: due to its sensor, to its handful wheels and the easy way to take pictures without being noticed.
