Was excited to see a mirrorless Df then saw the DX 20 Mp sensor. At least make the sensor on par with the Z6, pretty please??? Pass. Had been a Nikon shooter for 40 years. Very disappointing.

Nikon is giving Fujifilm a nudge.

  3. smileinurhand on January 3, 2022 at 2:35 am

Nikon must be developed in technology or at least equal to Sony. This is the job of white wash on the old House. No uses.

  4. Nicolas Alexander Otto on January 3, 2022 at 2:37 am

Interest img we get this before getting a Z camera with a dedicated BKT or WB button (or general professional layout) like the good old D850 / D5. Really weird priorities. I hope this isnt a deadweight investment for Nikon.

    What is 14Oz?

  6. Apple butters on January 3, 2022 at 2:39 am

Nikon is wasting their time trying to compete with Fujifilm in this segment IMO. This would have been substantially better if they stuck a full frame sensor in it. Why is Leica the only camera manufacturer that seems to know how to put a full frame sensor in a small camera?

  7. Kung Fu Panda on January 3, 2022 at 2:42 am

I don’t care about AF feature, will combo this fc with 7artisans z mount

  8. skyrunr skyrunr on January 3, 2022 at 2:43 am

How did they address user modes on the ZFC?

  9. Deepak Somayya on January 3, 2022 at 2:45 am

Sir what is Vedio Recording Time Limit

  10. Peter de Croos on January 3, 2022 at 2:46 am

would be an instant buy for me if it was fullframe

  11. Matt Lestat on January 3, 2022 at 2:47 am

No weather sealing . 100 bucks more than z50 with weather sealing. Bit stupid of Nikon.

  12. B Hanson on January 3, 2022 at 2:47 am

    I want the 28mm for my z6!

  13. Spyder Webb on January 3, 2022 at 2:49 am

Nikon acted too late. A lot of us Nikon shooters were waiting for DX compatible retro cameras from Nikon and fervently waiting for a follow-up for the Nikon DF. But Nikon dropped the ball while Fujifilm satisfied our cravings for retro DSLRs and rangefinder style cameras. A lot of Nikon users adapted the Fujifilm mirrorless system and lenses while Nikon DX and full-frame cameras looked exactly the same for more than a decade (did they forgot to pay the designer?) and only changing the sensors and model numbers. Now, another Nikon lens system. Too late Nikon. We love our Fujis, already. Hope you don’t end up like Nokia

  14. PureNupe1 on January 3, 2022 at 2:49 am

I totally plan to pick up one, once it’s offered as refurbished. I will pair it with ftz and all of my ais f mount lenses

  15. Angelo Regina on January 3, 2022 at 2:52 am

    No ibis.

  16. flying potato on January 3, 2022 at 2:53 am

Just a z 50 in a retro body for slightly more money and an xt3 is around the same price makes sense why nikon is in such financial trouble and is very possible that they are most likely to go out of business i mean they stopped all manufacturing from Japan sheeesh

How could a camera in these times not have ibis.

  22. Singh. H on January 3, 2022 at 3:02 am

They really need dx 16mm 1.8 & 20mm 1.8s dx lens than it would be perfect.

  23. ksn murthy on January 3, 2022 at 3:02 am

    How many$?

  24. Imagestreet on January 3, 2022 at 3:02 am

Bolt on dials with poor integration – should have an Auto ISO setting on the ISO dial, and Auto exposure on the shutter speed dial aka Fuji X-Pro so that your actual settings always match what is displayed by the dials – not impressed! However the flippy screen, superb video, great sensor with nikon colour science, light weight, and fantastic autofocus mean that this is a great walkabout option for those already bought into the Nikon system. I’m selling my X-Pro 2 kit to swap to this – but only as I already have a Nikon Z6 and it makes sense to standardise on the Z system.

  31. roman dulce on January 3, 2022 at 3:09 am

All good, but I already have the Fujifilm… Only thing that would make me buy one of those is the FULLFRAME sensor…

  32. Fabian Schmidt on January 3, 2022 at 3:11 am

While technically correct, I would say that the 28mm f/2.8 is not really a wide-angle lens when mounted on a DX camera like the Z fc. It’s more like a normal lens, just a little wider than a 50mm would be on a full frame body.

  33. Ron E. Marks on January 3, 2022 at 3:11 am

They tried this idea with the Nikon Df and it bombed. Maybe they will ride the retro wave this time and sell some.

  34. Ink Drop Customs on January 3, 2022 at 3:12 am

    Nice… good price and features

  36. pgulysse1 on January 3, 2022 at 3:13 am

    Good job #Nikon.
I must admid, the Z fc is a beautiful and good-looking cameara. The color options will seduce a lot of people.
I have a bad feeling a lot people in this side of the hemisphere can’t really just think in terms of enjoying taking photo.
They see competition of gears, or gears wars everywhere.
With this retro-style camera, I don’t think Nikon is "competiting" Fuji.
We all know Fuji is kind of the king of APSC. Other makers like Nikon, Canon, L-mount partners, Sony are more promoting FF (except for Sony that has more APSC lenses than Nikon or Canon).
Nikon and Canon were pushing people more to FF with their DSLR FF bodies and advanced APSC Bodies. They did not offer that much fast APSC lenses in the past. I don’t think they will do now.
Nope Nikon is not "attaking" Nikon.
Stop this photography demancia (gears wars, this versus that) and just enjoy photography or ShutterTherapy.

    really nice!

  38. Боря Дюпон on January 3, 2022 at 3:16 am

It’s gorgeous and sexy but is it a professional camera by any means or even as good as a Fuji X-E4? I have no idea and I have more questions than answers so far. Anyway thanks for sharing!

  39. JazzLowrider on January 3, 2022 at 3:18 am

Good luck for a dying company making those camera they look cool if your old school like me, but any modern cell phone could do the job just as good, without carrying extra stuff,

  40. Michele Jones on January 3, 2022 at 3:19 am

    I really, really want one.

  41. John Clay on January 3, 2022 at 3:19 am

New Nikon cameras good value £899

  42. ELTIN JONES on January 3, 2022 at 3:20 am

I totally agree about the lack of dx lenses. To expect users to use the FTZ adapter and heavier lenses or Full Frame s lenses defeats the whole idea.
Though I have Nikon DSKRs I’ll stick with my mf3s for lighter shooting

  43. gravitsapa on January 3, 2022 at 3:20 am

DX Sensor? Thanks, but no thanks!

  44. Johnson Guite on January 3, 2022 at 3:21 am

Can the camera work with obs software for recording videos?

  45. Neil Duncan on January 3, 2022 at 3:22 am

There is NO ‘Y’ in Nikon ! If you don’t believe me ask Ni-kon.

  46. Mike Bray on January 3, 2022 at 3:24 am

Personally being a Nikon shooter, and shooting with the original Z6 and Z7 and I also shoot with an original F 35 mm film camera… I am less than impressed with this camera from Nikon especially with the sensor with it only being a 20.9 megapixel APS-C sensor and the fact that left out IBIS….for what they are asking at almost $1000 US there is no way I would spend my money on this, the most I would spend on this is $200-$300… Nikon needs to get their shit together and do a vlogging camera with at least a full frame sensor, IBIS, 4K up to 120 frames per second with a flip out screen like on this camera. Personally the fc in the name of this camera = fucking crap!!

  47. Zack Murray on January 3, 2022 at 3:27 am
