Here you go – updated list of TOP 5 best superzoom cameras based on my personal experience and research I’ve made. All of those cameras are truly amazing, don’t really look at chronology/timeline of this list, because firstly I showed smaller sensor cameras with bigger zoom then I moved to the larger sensor category. You can’t really go wrong with any of them! 🙂

Used videos partly comes from the manufacturers (for commentary purpose):

Your report is detailed and very competent! Top ! I myself have a Nikon Coolpix P900 and for a few days also a Sony Cybershot DSC RX10 Mark 4 …. It is no doubt very difficult to switch to a completely different camera after working with a NIKON P900 for 4 years. I took photos of wild animals with the Nikon P900 that are without a doubt just breathtaking. But – I am very curious and interested in how far the Sony RX10 m 4 will take me.

Very nice but you missed out FZ1000 II. The latest one from Panasonic which replaces 5 year old Fz1000.

I am using this video as part of my product research before I buy. I respect your opinion. But, $700 difference between your #1 and #2 choices (BHPhotoVideo). For that price difference one can get your second choice (still excellent) and a Sound Devices Mix-Pre 3 II field recorder for the same money as the RX10 IV. Or, add $150 to the cost of the RX10 IV and get the Panasonic FZ2000/2500 and the Mix Pre-6 II.
