There’s no less space for batteries in a mirrorless. They often use the exact same batteries as DSLRs. The reason they run out of battery much faster is that the sensor is constantly reading, and the screen is constantly on.

I have myself the Canon 5d which is referred to as "the mirrored camera" in the video and I was wondering why he was favouring the other camera so much till I found out the name of the channel was actually Sony..

I wonder when batteries in cameras will be unchangeable same as in phones nowadays.

  19. S2M GD on April 30, 2021 at 10:29 pm

SONY: "Should you buy a DSLR or a mirrorless?"
Also SONY: "You should buy a Sony camera". Yeah, I’ll stick with my Nikon DSLR.

Can you recommend a good yet not terribly inexpensive video recorder? I don’t know much about cameras or camcorders, but basically I want to be able to shoot some pretty good quality video. It would be nice to be able to zoom in as well. I have a Nikon coolpix p100, but I think it is rather limited. I don’t think I can switch to a better lens with it.

Some ppl arbitrary want to incline to dslr cameras especially Canon ones, maybe cuz they have spent a lot of money on DSLR cameras and they dont want to recognize that mirorless cams are high quality, cheaper and smaller, that why I ‘ve been using sony mirrorless cam and it work perfectly, finally all company start copy catting Sony and make mirrorless cams

Cameras need to stop being so ridiculously expensive if they expect this compact camera industry to survive against Smartphones.

  23. Janet Eyre on April 30, 2021 at 10:37 pm

    1:52 CAPITAL NO

  24. Mayank Verma on April 30, 2021 at 10:37 pm

The problem for me is that a Smartphone can cost half the price of these cameras and still deliver almost the same image quality. Debate me on this if you want but I have yet to be convinced that a Smartphone that costs less than $1500 that lets me send Emails AND take high quality pictures is somehow inferior to a Dedicated Mirrorless Camera that only takes pictures but costs well over $2500

  29. Daniel Kelterbaum on April 30, 2021 at 10:44 pm

I always hear "DSLMs are better cameras…" I don’t think so, sorry. I think the perfect camera for everyone doesn’t exist. I’m using a Canon 5DS R and a 7D Mark II myself and I’m happy with them. For me a DSLM isn’t an alternative to my camera especially because of the EVF. I tested the Sony A7R III and the Canon EOS R and I have to say that the EVF is terrible for my eyes. So I’ll stay with my DSLRs.

Once you add a f2.8 or f1.4 lens to it the only thing differing between mirrorless and DSLR is the unbalance between camera and lens.
700g body with a 1kg lens makes for a long day fighting the camera while trying to work.

I don’t understand the logic behind making cameras slimmer to an extent of losing 50% of battery life.
The lenses are anyways gonna be as bigger as they are now ,how the fck does a few cm of camera width matter with 6 inches lens??!!!

  37. Keyan Carlile on April 30, 2021 at 10:55 pm

What a surprise that Sony thinks Sony’s cameras are the better option.

I like he he put all smartphone cameras into one category smh. This is a old video and smartphone cameras have come a long way. Samsung g21 ultra and the iPhone 12 Pro max being some of the best cameras on smartphones. Also the Sony zv-1 is one of the best point and shoot cameras.

Sony: “no more annoying noise hehe”

  43. Haokip Ovadiah on April 30, 2021 at 11:02 pm

Well, in short the mirrorless camera is good for shooting videos (good for picture too but mostly, videos) and mirror camera is good for shooting pictures.

  44. Ba Y on April 30, 2021 at 11:03 pm

TRUE. A bigger camera is a better camera because there is space for a bigger battery and more features.
